New Europe Festival 2017

International Contemporary Dance and Dance Theatre Festival and Choreographic Competition

Prague, Czech Republic, 19. – 25. 11. 2017

The New Europe Festival aims at hosting original works of contemporary dance and dance theatre of artists originating from the Central, Eastern part of Europe reaching far out to the Baltic and Balkan regions, as well as neighbouring countries such as Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, etc.

Selected artists up to 35 years of age will present two choreographies at the festival and will compete for the Jarmila Jeřábková Award. One of the choreographies will be the piece which ensured them their nomination to the final round and the other one will be a new piece inspired by the music of the Czech composer Aleš Březina, which they will prepare after being admitted to the Competition.
